About Willys Auto Radiators
Located at 1745 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11233, Willys Auto Radiators operates as an auto repair shop serving Brooklyn in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Brooklyn, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New York vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Willys Auto Radiators at (718) 495-3222; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating stands at 2.9 out of 5 from 30 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Brooklyn is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

They did a great job replacing my AC compressor and getting my cold air blowing again. Their price is also better than other quotes I received.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Especially a German car!!! I brought my car to this guy for a coolant leak... He charged me more than $1000.00 because "the leak is behind the transmission.." 2 days later I pick up my car.....the leak is fixed but now the CHECK ENGINE light is on and the transmission is slipping and struggling. Gave him TWO chances to fix it, but still CHECK ENGINE light and transmission slips when I drive above 45mph. Now I have to take it to a real mechanic!! Stay away!!

I showed up with my husband to get my air fixed and before anything the owner came out and told me it would be a charge of $75.00 just to CHECK what was wrong with the car, and if we wanted them to work on it obviously it would be additional charges. Then he proceeded to tell us that if there was nothing wrong with the car it would be $200. Yes you read that right if there was NOTHING wrong with the car it would be 200!!!!! I looked at him and told him to stop robbing customers!!! People are in a time of need im 7 months pregnant so this heat is serious for me. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!! Over charging for no reason!!!! I ended up taking my car to another car shop near by and they were able to tell me the issue at NO CHARGE !!!!!!!

I went to this place for 3 minor problems to fix in my car. The heating system, the a/c and a very little leak I was having since I bought the car. The heat was fix but for only 1 week it went of , the leak turns to pouring and I have to tow the car to his place. He make me buy a new climate control which was never the problem and he never used the 1 I bought because I still have it with the tags. I have paid him more than 800 for a maintenance that has solved non of my problems. I was really annoyed with him, I went to his place telling him that if the car was not fix with the whe lot of money I paid to him I was gona call the police on him and that everyone will no that he is not doing business but robbing customers. To my surprise he removed a baseball bat and he said he was gona hit me with it, I stood firm on my grounds and I gave him a stand firm that he should try it, but he new what to do , he asked me to leave the car there and come back later that he was going to fix it. He fixed the heat in less than an hour and reduced the pouring to the way it was and it still works to-date.

He looked like a honest person at first and I thought he fixed the problem of my car but then my car broke down again after 5 hours of getting car back. Just few mechanical problems costed me $1150 and he told me to leave the car overnight and there was a ticket for no standing for $115 on top of $2000, he denied saying he didnt see any ticket. And he refused to pay. I gave him my trust but he failed it, never going back there again.
